We believe the families we serve deserve to know exactly how we operate, how we’re regulated, and what we do when there is room to improve.
In November 2024, the Care Quality Commission published their inspection of Sublime Care. We share this openly because we think transparency is part of what good care looks like.
Within weeks of the inspection, we submitted a formal action plan to the local authority outlining every area identified for improvement and the specific steps we were taking. By March 2025, every single action was complete. Below is exactly what we did.
Completed
All emollients are now documented in care plans and fire risk assessments. Bed-bound clients who cannot self-evacuate are identified and the London Fire Brigade notified where required. Fire risk assessments are reviewed every six months. All clients have fire alarms installed.
Completed
Diabetes risk assessments implemented for all relevant clients, clearly specifying diabetes type and individual risks. Staff have completed refresher training with records updated. Care plans are reviewed quarterly and a quick-reference fact sheet is available to all carers.
Completed
Skin integrity risk assessments are conducted for every client, with increased monitoring frequency for high-risk individuals. Monthly audits of skin care documentation ensure thorough oversight, and spot checks assess adherence to best practice.
Completed
Medication details are consistently recorded and reviewed in every care plan. Our medication policy has been updated to align with current best practice. Monthly audits of medication records continue, with ongoing staff training reinforcing safe administration procedures.
Completed
100% of staff have completed mandatory Oliver McGowan training for supporting people with learning disabilities and autism. Stroke care training has also been delivered to all carers, with refresher courses scheduled quarterly. Training logs are reviewed regularly to ensure compliance.
Completed
We use geo-fencing technology tied to each client’s precise property location. Staff can only log in and out when their device is physically within the geo-fence boundary — if they are not at the correct address, the system will not allow sign-in. The system automatically alerts office staff if a carer has not checked in within the expected window, and overlapping shift prevention is fully in place.
“We view every inspection as an opportunity — not a threat. When our regulator identified areas for improvement, we took them seriously, acted quickly, and made sure every change was properly embedded. That is what genuine accountability looks like.”
